I would also like to express my thanks for this perl6 advent calendar.

I have not been able to follow it day by day but i will go through it now during 2010. :)

As a person who loves perl5 i can honestly say i'm not disappointed by what you've presented me with, about perl6.

Though i am surprised there are no "official" implementations, i sort of understand the route they've chosen by making it a specification that can be implemented by anyone but i would still love to see a perl foundation official interpreter.

Maybe Larry will write one. ;)

I hope the lack of thank you responces to this is due to people being caught up in the holidays. But let me say, thank you!
This gave me something to look foreward to every morning. In fact when up coding late, it was hard to resist peeking at the next days offering.
I have been excited about Perl 6 since the first Synopsises (Synopsi?). I am continually amazed at how clean and elegant the language is becoming.
You guys really picked some nice shiny bits to show off, I only wish there were more days left; it would have been nice to see some pages on things like the new variable interpolation in strings, the yadda-yadda-yadda operator, etc.

Keep up all the good work, and hopefully next year the advent calendar will highlight a fully realized Perl 6
